In the account of Noah's Ark, found in Genesis 5-10, God gives Noah a sign; a rainbow, His covenant to all men that he would never again flood the entire earth. The word covenant is used in scripture over 270 times, the word promise is used over 100 times. When we are in the midst of a trial in our lives, sometimes it is the hardest time to recall the promises of God; however, this is the time when it is most important to remember what God has promised to us, especially if you are His child.

Something I have found to be a huge blessing to me, is really studying the message of hymns or biblicaly inspired songs that we sing, or hear on the radio on a daily/weekly basis. It is my hope to use this blog as a way of sharing the lyrics to songs that have been a blessing to me, and how they have blessed me and reminded me of a promise given by God, and in turn be a blessing to others.

Day 7: A Picture of Someone/Something That Has Had the Biggest Impact on You





Yes, I skipped a day. Day 6 was supposed to be a post about my favorite super hero, and why. I couldn't really figure out what to say, 'cause I'm not really a fan of the super heros. If I said anything it would have been Wonder Woman, simply because she didn't go bad. But in all honesty, God is my favorite super hero. He conquered death, and gave me the greatest gift imaginable, eternal life, even though I don't deserve it. What could be better than that?

Anyway, So a picture of someone/something that has had the biggest impact on me...I'm going to share several pics. P.S. These are NOT in order of importance, it was as I came across a picture that I liked that shared my thoughts.

My Family; because without them, not only would I not be here, but I wouldn't be who I am today. Yes, my brothers have had more of an impact on me than just the abuse I had to put up with my whole life! ;) P.S. This picture is FAR from current, it was taken probably in 2000?

The death of my Dad; It was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, but God was there through it all. He never left me alone, and I am a better Christian now because of the valley He lead me through.

God's Word; Because life would be meaningless without it.

My Summer trip to Japan; Yet another time God showed himself in amazing ways to me, and I am a better Christian because of all that happened in my life in that period of one month.

My Nephew; because baby's just have that effect on me! :D
